CCAM 2026 Annual General Meeting: Review of the Year, Key Challenges and New Board of Directors

30 SEPTEMBER 2026

Montreal, September 4, 2026 — The Montreal Automobile Dealers Corporation (CCAM) held its 2026 Annual General Meeting (AGM) on Thursday, September 3, 2026, at the Fairmont The Queen Elizabeth. Presented by CADA and its CADA 360 Risk Management Programs, in collaboration with iA Dealer Services, this flagship CCAM event provided an opportunity to review the organization’s activities over the past year, conduct its statutory business, elect the 2026-2027 Board of Directors, and bring together industry stakeholders for a program that was informative, inspiring, and engaging.

Strong Activity Reports

CCAM President Jacques Olivier Jr. presented a review of the Corporation’s activities over the past year. Gilles Pilon, President of the Montreal International Auto Show (MIAS), shared the results of the most recent editions of the MIAS and the Charity Preview Gala.

A Program Focused on Industry Challenges

CCAM was honoured to welcome Bruce Rosen, Executive Director, Industry Relations, and Charles Bernard, Chief Economist, representing CADA. From the Corporation des concessionnaires automobiles du Québec (CCAQ), participants heard from Nathalie Aumont, Chair of the Board, and Ian P. Sam Yue Chi, President and Chief Executive Officer.

Opening this portion of the program, Bruce Rosen provided an update on the growing presence of Chinese automakers and the issues associated with their expansion into the Canadian market.

Nathalie Aumont then presented two key CCAQ initiatives: the Horizon China 2027 study mission and the professional certification program designed for automobile dealers.

Moderated by Denis Dessureault, Executive Vice-President of CCAM, the panel discussion brought together Charles Bernard and Ian P. Sam Yue Chi to explore several strategic issues affecting the automotive sector. Discussions addressed Canada–United States trade relations, zero-emission vehicles (ZEVs), workforce challenges, market evolution, and other key issues currently affecting dealerships.

A Conference Focused on the New Realities of Artificial Intelligence

Participants also attended a keynote presentation by André-Martin Hobbs, technology entrepreneur, automotive dealer co-owner, founder of an artificial intelligence company, and newly appointed President of CCAM.

Through a practical and thought-provoking presentation, he encouraged dealers to take a structured approach to artificial intelligence by assigning clear responsibility for the subject within their organizations. He also urged them to better understand their digital footprint by assessing the information that AI tools already know about their businesses. This practical exercise highlighted both the opportunities and responsibilities associated with this rapidly evolving technology.

Continuing Education and Industry Succession

A graduation ceremony highlighted the achievements of participants who successfully completed the CCAM-NADA and Élite continuing education programs. This milestone reflects the ongoing commitment of dealers to professional development, succession planning, and the future of the automotive industry.

Networking in a Welcoming Atmosphere

The AGM concluded with a cocktail reception presented by Sym-Tech Dealer Services. Members, partners, and guests continued their conversations on the beautiful terrace of the Fairmont The Queen Elizabeth, enjoying a sunny late afternoon in a warm and welcoming setting.
